Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to DHRIT: Focus, Study & Grow (“DHRIT”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a study and productivity application developed by 59 Labs.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the DHRIT Android application and associated services, including study sessions, app blocking, planners, study materials, DHRIT Rooms, leaderboards, analytics, and Study Wall features.

By accessing or using DHRIT, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the App.

2. About DHRIT

DHRIT is designed to help students build consistent study habits, manage their time, reduce digital distractions, monitor their progress, and study alongside other students.

Features may include:

• Focus sessions and distraction blocking.
• Daily study goals, planners, and tasks.
• Study statistics, streaks, and analytics.
• DHRIT Rooms, attendance, member profiles, and leaderboards.
• Study Wall and live study presence.
• Notes, study materials, and educational tools.
• Exam countdowns and preparation resources.
• Advertisements that help support the free service.

Features may change, become temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued as the App develops.

3. Eligibility

DHRIT is intended for students preparing for school examinations, competitive examinations, and other educational goals.

You must be at least 13 years old to use DHRIT. If you are below the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use the App with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian wherever required by applicable law.

You must provide accurate information when requested and must not misrepresent your age or identity.

4. User Accounts and Identification

DHRIT may automatically create an anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier when you first launch the App. Traditional registration or login may not be required for all features.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any account credentials or recovery mechanisms introduced by DHRIT.

Anonymous accounts may be associated with locally stored information and cloud-synchronised data. Uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete data already stored in Firebase. Losing access to an anonymous account or its identifier may make it difficult or impossible to recover associated data.

You must not impersonate another user, manipulate another user's account, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to DHRIT systems.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DHRIT lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• Use the App to harass, threaten, bully, abuse, or intimidate other users.
• Post unlawful, fraudulent, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful material.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your academic achievements or identity.
• Manipulate study time, attendance, streaks, leaderboard positions, or other statistics through fraudulent activity.
• Exploit bugs, bypass access restrictions, interfere with other users, or attempt to compromise the App's security.
• Reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the App except where permitted by applicable law or with our written authorisation.
• Use DHRIT to distribute malware, spam, unauthorised advertising, or material that infringes another person's rights.
• Circumvent technical restrictions or misuse app-blocking and device permissions.

We may investigate reported violations and take proportionate action where appropriate.

6. Focus Sessions and App Blocking

DHRIT offers focus sessions and distraction-blocking features intended to help users maintain concentration.

Depending on the feature and your device configuration, the App may require permissions such as Accessibility Service access, usage access, notification permission, or other Android permissions.

You choose which applications to block and are responsible for reviewing your selections and granting permissions knowingly.

App blocking is provided as a productivity aid, not as a guarantee that every distraction can be prevented. Its effectiveness may depend on Android version, device manufacturer restrictions, battery optimisation settings, permissions, and other software behaviour.

DHRIT is not responsible for missed calls, messages, notifications, or other consequences caused by the blocking settings you choose or by device-level restrictions. You should avoid blocking applications necessary for emergencies, personal safety, or essential communication.

You may disable permissions or end a focus session through the available controls and Android settings, subject to any restrictions imposed by your device.

7. Study Data, Statistics, and Leaderboards

DHRIT may calculate and display study duration, focus-session history, streaks, daily and weekly activity, attendance, blocked-app attempt counts, and other productivity statistics.

These statistics are intended to help users understand their study habits. They are not official academic records, proof of examination preparation, or guarantees of academic performance.

Statistics may be affected by device settings, network connectivity, incomplete synchronisation, application errors, or other technical limitations. We will make reasonable efforts to improve accuracy but cannot guarantee that every statistic will always be complete or immediately synchronised.

You must not deliberately manipulate study records, room attendance, or rankings.

8. DHRIT Rooms, Study Wall, and Community Features

DHRIT Rooms allow users to participate in study communities, follow group activity, and encourage one another.

When you join a room, certain information may be visible to other authorised room members, including your room display name, study status, study duration, attendance, target exam, and statistics made available by the relevant features and settings.

Study Wall visibility can be controlled through the settings available in DHRIT. Disabling this visibility may prevent you from appearing in the applicable Study Wall view, but it does not necessarily hide information you have separately shared in rooms or other features.

You are responsible for your interactions and any content you share. You must respect other members' privacy and must not use displayed study information to harass, threaten, stalk, or otherwise harm them.

Room administrators may manage their rooms within the permissions provided by DHRIT. We may restrict or remove rooms or users that violate these Terms or applicable law.

We do not guarantee that every room member is who they claim to be, that all member-provided information is accurate, or that every room will remain available.

9. Study Materials and Intellectual Property

DHRIT may provide access to notes, PDFs, formulas, educational documents, and other study resources.

The ownership of these materials remains with their respective copyright holders or licensors. Making a resource accessible through DHRIT does not transfer ownership to DHRIT or its users.

You may use study materials accessed through the App for personal educational purposes, subject to the applicable licence, permission, and restrictions.

You must not redistribute, sell, republish, or commercially exploit third-party materials unless you have the necessary permission or legal right to do so.

If you submit content to DHRIT, you confirm that you have the rights and permissions necessary to share it. You retain ownership of your content, while granting us only the limited permissions necessary to host, process, display, and distribute it through the features you use.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content available through DHRIT infringes your rights, contact us at mehul@59labs.in with the relevant resource, evidence of ownership or authority, and your requested action. We may restrict access to disputed content while reviewing a complaint.

10. Educational Information and Exam Countdown Dates

DHRIT may display exam countdowns, preparation tips, educational information, and suggested study goals.

These features are provided for general informational and planning purposes. Exam dates, schedules, and other information may be estimates, tentative dates, user-configured values, or information that has not yet been officially announced.

You are responsible for checking official examination authority announcements before making examination, travel, application, or other important decisions.

DHRIT does not guarantee admission, examination results, marks, percentile, rank, or any other academic outcome.

DHRIT is an independent student productivity product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Testing Agency, IITs, CBSE, or other examination authorities unless expressly stated.

11. Advertisements and Third-Party Services

DHRIT may display advertisements through Google AdMob and may rely on third-party services such as Firebase for authentication, databases, analytics, and crash reporting.

Advertisements and third-party integrations may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. We do not control all aspects of third-party services, websites, products, or content.

DHRIT does not guarantee the availability or accuracy of third-party services and is not responsible for third-party products or services solely because they are advertised or accessible through the App.

12. Availability, Updates, and Changes

We aim to maintain DHRIT and improve its reliability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will be available on every device.

We may release updates, fix bugs, change features, introduce new requirements, or discontinue functionality. Some changes may require an application update through Google Play, while other settings or content may be updated remotely.

You should install supported updates when necessary for security, compatibility, or proper operation.

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security concerns, technical failures, or other legitimate operational reasons.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using DHRIT at any time and may request account and associated data deletion through the deletion feature provided in the App or our account deletion page.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address serious or repeated violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risks, abuse of other users, or misuse of the service.

Where appropriate and practicable, we will provide notice or an opportunity to address a violation. Immediate restrictions may be necessary to protect users, data, or the service.

Suspending or uninstalling the App does not automatically guarantee deletion of cloud-stored data. Please follow the account deletion process described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of DHRIT is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information may be collected, how it is used, the services involved, and the choices available to you.

You should review that policy before using features that synchronise study data or share information with room members.

We apply reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, DHRIT is provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for every individual requirement.

We do not guarantee that the App will prevent every distraction, preserve every record without interruption, or produce particular academic outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer rights or legal protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, 59 Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, DHRIT.

We are not responsible for academic outcomes, user-generated content, failures of third-party services, or losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other matters that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as DHRIT evolves, its features change, or legal requirements change.

We will update the revision date when changes are made. Where required, we will provide notice of material changes through the App or another appropriate method. Your continued use after revised Terms become effective will be subject to the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to applicable mandatory legal protections.

If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it informally. Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any rights or remedies available under applicable law or approaching a competent authority or court.
