Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and 59 Labs ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the DHRIT: Focus. Study. Grow. application ("DHRIT") and the DHRIT website.

By creating an account, signing in, or using DHRIT in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use DHRIT.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes before they take effect. Continued use of DHRIT after the effective date of any changes means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use DHRIT, you must:

Be at least 13 years old
Be capable of forming a binding agreement
Not be prohibited from using DHRIT under applicable law

If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, or that use of an app of this nature does not require such consent in your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts.

3. Accounts

3.1 Registration

You may sign in using Google, an email address, or as a guest. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

3.2 Guest accounts

Guest access may be provided with limited functionality. Guest data may not persist across sessions. Guest users may have the option to convert to a registered account.

3.3 Account responsibility

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us at mehul@59labs.in immediately.

3.4 Accurate information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and to keep it updated.

3.5 Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account within the app, or by requesting deletion at dhrit.app/delete-account. Deletion is subject to the data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Use of DHRIT

4.1 Permitted use

DHRIT is provided for personal, non-commercial use as a study and focus tool. You may use it to:

Track and manage your personal study sessions
Join and participate in DHRIT Rooms
Use the study tools provided
Connect with other students studying in shared rooms

4.2 Prohibited conduct

You must not:

Use DHRIT for any unlawful purpose
Impersonate any person or entity
Upload, post, or share content that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, obscene, or illegal
Interfere with or disrupt DHRIT's servers, networks, or infrastructure
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of DHRIT
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access DHRIT
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
Manipulate study data, leaderboard rankings, or attendance records
Use DHRIT to collect or harvest personal information about other users
Engage in any activity that violates another user's privacy or safety

5. DHRIT Rooms

5.1 Room creation

Users may create Rooms subject to these Terms. Room creators are responsible for the name, description, and conduct within their Room.

5.2 Room membership

By joining a Room, your study presence may be visible to other Room members as described in the Privacy Policy. You can leave a Room at any time.

5.3 Community conduct

All users in a Room must:

Respect other members
Not share harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content in Room chat
Not harass, bully, or threaten other members
Not spam or send unsolicited promotional content

5.4 Moderation

59 Labs reserves the right to remove, suspend, or dissolve any Room that violates these Terms or our community standards, without prior notice.

6. Room chat

Room chat is for academic communication related to studying. You must not use Room chat to:

Post harmful, abusive, harassing, threatening, or illegal content
Share personal information of other users without their consent
Spam or post repetitive or off-topic content
Share copyrighted material without authorisation
Promote products, services, or third-party apps

We do not pre-screen chat messages but reserve the right to remove content and suspend users who violate these Terms.

7. Study data and leaderboards

DHRIT records your study sessions to power features including Study Wall, Attendance, Leaderboard, and Analytics.

Leaderboard rankings are based solely on study effort such as time studied, sessions completed, and streak. They do not reflect academic ability or exam readiness.

You must not attempt to manipulate, falsify, or game study data, session records, or leaderboard rankings.

8. Focus and app blocking

DHRIT's focus session and app-blocking feature is designed to help you reduce distractions during study sessions.

You acknowledge that:

App blocking requires you to grant specific Android permissions, which you do voluntarily
App-blocking functionality may not work on all devices or Android versions
59 Labs does not guarantee that all selected apps will be blocked in all circumstances
Technical limitations of Android may affect the effectiveness of blocking
You are responsible for your own device configuration

59 Labs is not liable for any inability to block a specific app or for any distraction that occurs during a focus session.

9. Study materials

Study materials provided within DHRIT are for your personal educational use only. You must not:

Reproduce, distribute, or share these materials outside DHRIT without authorisation
Claim authorship of materials created by third parties
Use the materials for commercial purposes

10. User-generated content

10.1 Your content

You retain ownership of content you create within DHRIT, including chat messages, notes, planner goals, and custom exam names.

By submitting content to DHRIT, you grant 59 Labs a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the DHRIT service.

10.2 Content standards

All content you submit must comply with these Terms. You are solely responsible for content you post. 59 Labs does not endorse any user-generated content.

10.3 Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to users or the DHRIT community.

11. Intellectual property

DHRIT, including its name, logo, design, interface, study materials, and software, is owned by 59 Labs and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You must not use the DHRIT name, logo, or brand without our prior written permission.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

12. Advertisements

DHRIT displays third-party advertisements to help cover operating costs. By using DHRIT, you acknowledge that:

Advertisements may appear on the Dashboard, Rooms discovery, Tools, Planner, and Analytics screens
Advertisements will not appear during active focus sessions, study material viewing, or timer experiences
59 Labs does not endorse any advertised product, service, or company
Third-party advertisers have their own privacy policies that govern their data practices

13. Availability and service

We aim to keep DHRIT available and reliable, but we do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted availability of the service
That all features will function on all devices
That exam countdown dates will always be accurate (official exam dates can change; we will reflect official announcements where possible)
That study data will never be lost due to technical failures, although we take reasonable steps to prevent this

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue DHRIT or any feature at any time. Where possible, we will give reasonable advance notice of significant changes.

14. Disclaimers

DHRIT is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 59 Labs disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

In particular:

Using DHRIT does not guarantee any educational result, exam score, or academic outcome
DHRIT is a study support tool, not a substitute for qualified educational instruction
Exam countdowns are informational and based on announced dates that may change

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 59 Labs and its team members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of DHRIT, including loss of data, loss of study records, or inability to access the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in abusive, harassing, or illegal conduct
Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of DHRIT
Manipulate study data or rankings
Use DHRIT in a way that harms other users

You may stop using DHRIT and delete your account at any time. Sections 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, and 18 survive termination.

17. Reporting and abuse

If you believe another user has violated these Terms, you can report them within the app. We will review reports and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

False or malicious reports are themselves a violation of these Terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of DHRIT will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We encourage you to contact us first at mehul@59labs.in before initiating any formal dispute. We will make a genuine effort to resolve concerns directly.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our practices, or DHRIT's features. We will notify you of material changes at least 7 days before they take effect via the app or email. The current Terms will always be available at dhrit.app/terms.
